Dolphin Smile

During the fall/winter of 2007 I was working with Michelle Vandepass of  www.divinepurposeunleashed.com on deepening my understanding of my divine purpose connection to dolphins and whales. For many years I have been connected and spent time with dolphins and while working with Michelle I began to feel a very strong connection and longing to be with the whales. I realized that I wanted to swim with them and as I contemplated this insight I began to feel drawn to go to Maui. The humpback whales spend the winter months in the waters around Maui yet people are only allowed by the government to get within 100 yards of the whales. I figured that if I was in the water and they approached me it would be OK.

Every time I visualized myself swimming with the whales I saw myself being with them off the southwest coast of Maui. Finally I understood this was my heart’s desire and the whales were telepathically confirming  this by showing where they wanted me to come to swim with them. I visually saw this through my third eye knowing. At first I had doubts… I mean go all the way to Hawaii to a certain location on a specific day and hope by chance to meet up with and swim with the whales. The longing and knowing continued to grow and with Michelle’s encouragement and my growing confidence in my knowing I decided to take a leap of faith ( I am a leap year baby) and go to Maui in February 2008.

I contacted a friend of a friend who lived on Maui and told him my story. He had a two man kayak and we agreed to meet in February  at a location on the southwest side of Maui. We met mid morning. It was a beautiful sunny day and the ocean was calm. I said I wanted to kayak straight out for a couple of  miles and see if the whales would show up. So we kayaked for about an hour and did not see any whales during that time. Then suddenly a whale came to the surface right next to our kayak!!! It was a mother and she had her baby calf next to her and next to her calf was an escort. They swam a distance away and my friend and I got in the water with our snorkels and masks. The whales then swam back too us and the baby was right next to us on the surface while the mother and escort swam below us. We were with them for about 5 minutes until they moved off as a tourist whale guide boat approached. 

You can imagine my excitement ( oh my god.. a mother,baby, and escort) and relief that the whales really were there (confirming that  my earlier telepathic  guidance was really true). I felt so much joy and love with and for the whales. They seemed so precious and I was honored and humbled that they would allow me to spend time with them.

When I got back on land and  looked around everything was enveloped in a brilliant, soft, tender, and precious light. I felt brilliant, soft, tender, and precious.
