Iceland, which announced last year that they were going to stop whaling, has said they plan to resume whaling this year with the intent of killing 100 piked (minke) whales and 150 endangered fin whales. Hvalur Inc, an Iclandic whaling company, is hoping to sell the whale meat to japan, which is at this time illegal. Sea Shepherd will confront the whalers if they go ahead with their plan.
