12/05/07 Terri Irwin has granted the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society permission to rename its ship in honor of her late husband, Steve Irwin. Terri says that Steve would have been extremely honored to be acknowleded in this way as he shared Sea Shepherd’s passion for saving whales. “Whales have always been in Steve’s heart and in 2006 he was invesigating the possibility of joining Sea Shepherd on part of it’s journey to defend these beautiful mammals,” Terri said. To view photos and for more information go to www.seashepherd.org
