A chain of restaurant on the northern island of Hokkaido, Japan has started serving whale burgers  made from minke whale meat with the hope of increasing it’s popularity among the locals. The IWC has allowed the Japanese to kill 700 minke whale a year for scientific purposes and now we really know they are killing the whales for burgers. Japan says they are planning to double their killing spree to 1,400/year. 

Conservationist and environmentalist have condemned this killing as unnecessary and unscientific but the Japanese don’t care because to them eating whales is just like eating fish and they are going to do what they want to do. Who is going to stop them?

This makes me sick to my stomach. How barbaric, ignorant and unconscious!!!
