While I had a wonderful time swimming with the dolphins on the Big Island I also was aware that the island is sending a warning ( increased VOG)to it’s human inhabitants to act in ways that support a healthy environment. Two years ago another vent opened up in Volcano National Park..
spewing more sulpher dioxide and other toxic chemicals that are referred to as VOG. It causes resperitory illness in humans, harms vegetation, and I think has contributed to the drought.
My suggestion is for people on the island to stop growing GMO crops, stop using herbicides and pesticides, stop drilling geothermal wells, and stop all military activity. Then maybe Pele will respond by reducing the VOG emissions.
