The Australian Federal Court has ordered the Japanese Whalers to stop killing Whales in Australian Arctic waters. The Humane Society launched legal action against Kyodo Senpaku Kaisha Ltd in 2004 claiming the company had illegally slaughtered minke and fin whales since the sanctuary was declared in 2000. The Humane Society has called on the Rudd labor government to live up to it’s pre election promise to stop Japanese Whaling by intercepting their ships in Australian waters.
