The British Petroleum oil well leak is causing great harm to our ocean environment and before this tradgedy is over all species, including humans, will be negatively affected by the toxic pollutants. Look at what has already happened. The people who live along the gulf coast no longer have a livelihood. And soon the oil is going to spread into the gulf stream… carrying it to Europe and eventually around the world.

I believe that the earth is  alive and that she spit out the drilling rig well casing as a warning for humans to stop our harmful actions towards the environment.  For more about this read Chapter Four in my book, Messages From The Dolphins.

This is a tragic loss of a human life and I am also not surprised that this happened. I am not in favor of Cetaceans being held in captivity because it is unnatural for the them to spend their lives in a confined enclosure and does lead to abnormal behavior as expressed by this very sad incident.

The Humane Society has long campained for Marine Mammals to be removed from aquarium theme parks. Joyce Tishler, founder of the Animal League Defense Fund says, ” These behemouths are denied all of their natural instinctual inclinations.” She compares an Orca’s life in captivity to, ” keeping a human being in a bathtub for his entire life.”

I can imagine that if I was kept in a bathtub for my entire life and forced to do tricks for Cetaceans I would be very unhappy, develop abnormal behavior, and eventually lash out at my captors, just as this Orca did.

Many villagers are killing Spinner Dolphins for their teeth to use as currency. “Dolphin teeth are like gold,” says the governor of the nations central bank. ”You keep them as a store of wealth.”Over the past year one spinner tooth has soared in price from 50 solomon island cents to two solomon island dollars (26 u.s. cents). The teeth were used before the Europeans colonized the islands, and are still the preferred currency for buying brides.

The Solomon islanders hunt the dolphins by surrounding them in boats, banging the water with flat paddles to chase them into the shallows, sticking their heads in the mud to cover their blow holes until they drown and then chop off their heads to harvest their teeth.  

This is so upsetting… such cruelty and human ignorance of the true value of the precious aliveness of the dolphins. My God!!! What is it going to take for these people to wake up!!!  Dolphins are not fish… they are sentient beings that have strong emotional social bonds, are highly intelligent, and are spiritually evolved.

The islanders must believe they get manna from the dolphins which fills the hole of their own personal sense of deficiency and lack of value.  Why can’t they value their own human manna and be satisfied with that?

I do not think Mother Earth is going to allow this to continue.

The story is being covered internationally and the image of the slaughter of the seals is being published worldwide. Captain Paul Watson said, “Last week I jokingly said that the best publicity we could get is if Canada storms the vessel in international waters but I did not think they were that stupid. It appears that I was wrong.”

In his book, The Inner Journey Home- Chapter 17, page 287, Hameed talks about what happens when our souls do not experience Divine Love, which is the ground of everything. He  says, ” Not seeing the indivisible boundless ground of everything, the soul sees manifestation as composed of discrete objects. One can then possess or lose one object or another. And since this dismemberment reflects the absence of the unity of being , with its richness and abundance, it is bound to be colored by a sense of impoverishment. Impoverishment becomes desire and greed, and posessiveness develops into grasping and attachment. Therefore, instead of the soul experiencing abundance and seeing richness everywhere, she inwardly feels, consciously or unconsciously, that she is deprived and empty. She ends up being ruled by desire, greed, posessiveness, and attachment. Instead of the beautiful and rich display of love, the world of dismembered objects becomes the promise of possessions, power, and objects of gratification. The boundless Good is dismembered into material goods, to be attained, possessed, and hoarded. The natural richness and its associated spontaneous generosity becomes an economy of scarcity, where each is for his own, each is looking out for himself, and each fights and competes with others for as big a piece of the pie as one can get through cunning and brute force.” 

Letting the Japanese and other whaling nations know that killing whales and dolphins is not aligned with our current evolution of consciousness is important and it will really take these nations waking up to the fact that they and everything else has a divine existence that is made up of, and is, interconnected by love.

The ego belief in separation is extremely hard wired into our human consciousness and so often it takes some type of traumatic event to make one question their underlying view of reality. This seems to be what occurring on our planet…. lot’s of trauma and suffering that will hopefully lead to our human species waking up to our loving divine nature.

I believe it is important to speak out and am thankful that other people and organizations like Sea Shepherd and Greenpeace are doing the same. So I do the best I can and then, realizing that this problem is bigger than me, leave the final solution in the hands of True Nature. For I know that True Nature ( God/Goddess ) is good and wants life on this planet to be a magnificent expression of the divine… and as such has some kind of divine plan that will eventually express humanities highest potential of unity, peace, and loving kindness towards each other and all species on this planet.

So, thank God/Goddess for life, for my relationships, for whales and dolphins, and for my having been able to get to know them in such a deep and intimately precious way.   

This made me think about the Japanese whalers and how much they have lied. They say they hunt whales for scientific purposes when in truth they killed them for food. They lied about Sea Shepherd harming them when the truth is they attempted to kill Captian Paul Watson. They lied about not trying to bribe other nations to vote in their favor at the I.W.C. meeting when the truth is those nations recently confessed that this did indeed happen.

So, I have a feeling that nature is going to respond to Japan’s harming the whales with some kind of earth event- not out of maliciousness or an intent to hurt or cause harm, but out of taking natural healing actions to let the Japanese whalers know that the earth will not put up with their harming and killing whales any longer. 

In my book, Messages From The Dolphins, Chapter 4 – Dolphins to Humans on the Environment, I have said that the earth will repond to humans harmful actions by creating beneficial natural healing actions. If you follow world events then you will know that this has been occuring. The earth is wanting to get our attention so that we will begin treating all life with respect, appreciation, and gratitude.  

What amazed me the most was how affectionate these big cats were to their human caretakers. They purred (chuffed) when approached and rubbed up against the fence to touch their human hands.

I asked myself if the roles were reversed would I be as affectionate? If I were previously captured by big cats, dragged around on a leash, made to perform entertaining tricks, subjected to punishment and cruelty, and lived in a fenced in pen, separated from my loved one’s, would I still love and express affection towards the big cats? I don’t think so.

This same thing happens to dolphins. They are captured, abused, and made to do tricks for humans, and yet they still express affection towards us. Now that’s what I call miraculous behavior!!!
